Why booking direct with us is cheaper

There’s a simple reason we run this website at all, instead of just sending you to Booking.com or Airbnb: if you book direct with us, you pay less — for the same apartment, on the same dates.

Where the commission comes from

Booking portals don’t earn their money from you, they earn it from us. For every booking that goes through them, they charge the host a commission. That commission doesn’t just disappear — in the end it’s hidden somewhere in the price a guest sees there.

What that means for you

If you book direct with us, that commission falls away completely. Instead of simply keeping it ourselves, we pass it on, which is why booking here on the website is cheaper than through a portal. We don’t want to name a figure here, because portal prices change and we don’t want to promise anything we can’t keep. Only the direction is certain: direct is cheaper than the detour.

The only difference

What you don’t get with us are star ratings from strangers and an anonymous contact form. What you get instead is Michael himself, reachable by email if anything is still unclear before you book.

Just check the calendar to see whether your preferred dates are free.
